"HIGH WATER LEVELS ON THE TANANA RIVER INTO NEXT WEEK...
RECENT AND CONTINUED WARM TEMPERATURES IN THE EASTERN INTERIOR ARE RESULTING IN A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF GLACIAL MELTING AND HIGH ELEVATION SNOW MELT RUNOFF FROM THE ALASKA RANGE. THIS LARGE VOLUME OF MELTWATER HAS CAUSED THE TANANA RIVER TO RISE STEADILY OVER THE PAST WEEK. ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES ARE FORECASTED THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND AND THE TANANA RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE RISING. THE TANANA RIVER WILL LIKELY REACH BANKFULL AT SOME LOCATIONS AND COULD POTENTIALLY FLOOD SOME LOW LYING AREAS. AT THIS TIME SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED BUT RESIDENTS ALONG THE TANANA RIVER AND ITS GLACIALLY FED TRIBUTARIES SHOULD MONITOR WATER LEVELS"
yay for warm weather, its making the glaciers melt :O dont tell Al gore

My left wrist is in a lot of pain right now. The same pains as I get in my right. The wrist I have dequervain's disease in. If I get it in both wrists, I'll cry. A lot.
This is so not cool.

Oh my.
The BBC just contacted me asking if I'd be able to taxidermy a white rat for a children's program. I really should state on my website that I can't currently take orders ffff.
That would have looked badass in my (currently non-existant) portfolio.

Wow, I actually slept 14 hours last night! That's more than I slept the entire last week and a half! Go me!
Lol, I dreamt that we lived in the old victorian school again, and it was winter. We had to gut (as in remove the guts to eat) of an animal, in the old ultility room, but we (me and my sisters) decided to lay in front of the fire instead. Eventually mum forced us to, and wtf, the animal was some kind of Asian lion species. It was really small and half-skinned. Apparantly the skin was worth a hella lot of money. My brother ended up cutting it into little strips, and mum got maddd.
I managed to perfectly skin mine, but when I finally straightened out the skin for salting, it turned out I cut the muzzle off somehow, so mum raged again fffffff We then had to remove the guts from the body case and put them in buckets, which was gross. I'd probably puke if I had to do that ygjrhhgjhgg Though I've removed brains irl no problem. No blood though, and no getting rid of whatevers still in the organs, aka mush. *gags*
People who have added me from RPs are probably wtfing at me so bad 8D

If you happen to be in London this afternoon (Friday!), why not join some of the MOO crew down at Trafalgar Square? Not only will it be an opportunity to hang out with Nelson on his column, cool down with the pigeons in the fountain and perhaps have a wander around the National Gallery - but you'll also be able to cheer on MOO customer and friend Simon Berry, of ingenious charity Colalife. For one hour he'll have pride of place on the famously unadorned 4th plinth - as part of Anthony Gormley's latest project, 'One and Other'. ( More... )

Sooo yah, today was a lot more profitable than I initially thought it was going to be. I told Takumi I was doing those doodles for donations and, after a long conversation, we decided that I should draw his picture and he'd pay whatever he figured it was worth. He said he'd be willing to pay around $25 and I was expecting $5-15. He sent $45. o_O I was floored. But wow, awesome, excited.
And THEN, harliquinnraver wanted a commission and I thought it was going to be one of those donation doodles, but she wanted a shaded picture. So. I just randomly had the inspiration already and did it. In one sitting. o_o And she paid, too, obviously. Here's that:
I rather enjoyed doing this one. :) And it seems like when I sketch things on the computer and don't have to scan them before I colour them, they annoy me less. :O
BUT NOW I HAVE MONEY. MWAHAHAHA. And hopefully, momentum that will carry me over into tomorrow! Beau's been doing all the stuff at the store. All the painting has been done, so he's just organizing and whatnot. Not like he has anything better to do anyway...so I don't feel TOO bad making him do it all himself. :P It's not like I'm staying home to be lazy and drink piña coladas. I'm working, too! haha
Anyway, yah. Working more tomorrow.

One of my oscars died while I was at work. He'd been sick...but it was very unexpected and very quick.
My family didn't think I needed to know until I got off work.
It's like losing a child...I raised him from a tiny little inch long fish. He was over a foot long when he died.
I'm going to drown my sorrow in chocolate and WoW tonight.

I'm still going to buy the CD once it comes out, though. But fuck this made a starting out shitty day SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER YES YES YES haha
ETA: Someone brought to my attention that not everyone is down with leaks - if you're not, that's cool, I wasn't the one who leaked and uploaded so I don't really take any offense; I was given the link by a friend who was given it by another friend. I even felt kinda bad for the boys after my initial excitment wore off, and just forget sometimes that not everyone is as desensitized by the internet as I am. So download if you'd like, don't if you're against it, I understand both sides and doesn't make a difference to me which one you're on! (Just don't forget to actually buy it when the time comes, yeah?)

[Thursday

I really try not to discount all "old white men" in government. I think a lot of them have something unique to offer; I just think there needs to be a much broader variety of ethnic/racial [oops, forgot gender!] types to represent society, and that Congress is severely overstocked with OWM. And not all of them are-- to coin a phrase "wise white men."
Cases in point. Supreme Court nominee Sotomayor, a self made woman who grew up in the projects, self described "affirmative action baby" who went on to graduate summa cum laude from an ivy league school, was asked the following questions:
Senator Sessions (AL): Did she think she could live on a judge's salary?
Sen. Cornin (TX): Questioned her on Dr. Martin Luther King, and did she understand discrimination (umm--a Latina from the projects)?
Sen. Coburn (OK): Quoted Desi Arnez from the old Lucille Ball show, telling Sotomayor she had some "'splainin' to do," a tv series in which women were very much second class citizens subservient to their husbands, answerable to them at the end of the day, hence the 'splainin', and occasionally spanked on camera. Not to mention an old white guy putting on a Cuban accent. Yeah.
Seriously. Time for some new blood.

Hmmm, there's still not many jobs around Mold, but I'm looking! It's kinda too expensive to travel to Poland Wrexham for one, too. That, and my dequervain's makes it so hard to be considered for work.
I sent my application to a pharmacy today, and the only other job is a maid. There goes my male dignity, if I had any. I'm desperate for money and NEED a job. If they require any type of uniform I am not doing it. Still, I might as well enquire.
Hopefully something will come up eventually >: I should get jobseeker's allowance soon, (£50.95 a week, hopefully...) which will help. A LOT. Thats more than my job was giving me. (about £20 a week). I'm gonna really try and look for a job though, unlike last time when I just attempted to live off the benefits, haha.

The 25th guys. Remember not to wait til the last second since if something happens you'll end up being late.
Also, REMEMBER TO DO ADOPTIONS! IF I get mad I'll talk Anjel into blacklisting those who picked up adoptions then skipped out. Someone who will actually do it could have taken them.
Also, SEND THINGS OUT(this includes myself).

Wow so I got, what, 2 hours sleep? I need to find out whats causing my combo of feeling tired all the time, and yet not being able to sleep. I had a blood test this morning to find out, at least. The doctor suspects its something do to with my thyroid medication again. I'm also going back on my dequervains medication, as its killing me.
Every time I sit down to do a commission, I can work on it for what, 5-10 minutes before the pain sets in. I WANT to get them done, I miss drawing - hell, I was crying the other night because I couldn't even manage a sketch in my sketchbook. It was too painful. Its unlikely I'll have my surgery in the next few months, but after 4 years, thats nothing.
I'm worried my immune system is weakened. It's already pretty bad, but not enough sleep is bound to make me ill. And since Little Poland Wrexham is now affected by swine flu cases (according to my sister), this is srs business. Do NOT want swine flu. Not with diabetes too. This equals a pretty serious combo.
Post will FINALLY go out on Monday, guys. I am so fucking sorry its so late, I'd had that many appointments and stuff the last two weeks its totally exhausted me. I'm reffering to those who bought 'dead things' off me, btw.
Now to try and get some more rest before the jobseekers appointment at 3pm.
